Hunting Hunting
in Vats, a densely deer populated area of Norway, in a beautiful, wild
and challenging terrain offers the adventurous hunter an unique hunting
experience.The starting point for all our hunting trips is Bilkrabyda on the eastern side of the Vats Lake. Bilkrabygda lies close to Stat Highway E-134, the main road between Haugesund and Oslo, approximate 40 kilometres from Haugesund. This area is situated in steep terrain up towards "snaufjellet", with a view to the west and the ocean so breathtaking it leaves even the most experienced hiker stunned. Access is well developed with tracks, which makes transport to the hunting areas easy. We offer hunting trips both in low lands and in high lands, with or without guides, from huts etc. Besides having one of the countries most dense deer population is it also contains red deer, moose, reindeer, fox, marten, mink, stoats and hare. Plus small birds such as grouse in the lowlands, and big birds like black grouse in the highlands. Predator birds, like the sea eagle thrive in this region. If you are not interested in hunting yourself, you are more than welcome to join us for the experience. |
